WHAT IS HYDROXYTYROSOL?
Olive oil and olives are among the most important components of the Mediterranean diet. Today, this is considered one of the healthiest diets due to its composition of fruits, vegetables, legumes, high fiber content, and valuable fats from fish and olive oil. Fresh olives and so-called “extra virgin” (cold-pressed) olive oil also contain natural ingredients such as hydroxytyrosol (HYT), which are known to have a number of positive properties for a long and healthy life. What are these properties?

EFFECTIVE ANTIOXIDANT
Hydroxytyrosol (HYT) is a natural compound found in olives and belongs to the group of antioxidants. These can help the body deal with free radicals, which are created by sunlight, pollution or natural processes in the body.
Free radicals are produced by things like UV exposure, air pollution, or natural processes in the body. If too many of them build up, it can lead to what is called oxidative stress. This may put strain on cells and, over time, affect their function. Antioxidants like hydroxytyrosol can help maintain a healthy balance.
Hydroxytyrosol is naturally found in fresh olives and in small amounts in cold-pressed olive oil. During olive processing, it is often removed due to its bitter taste. For this reason, it is difficult to consume meaningful amounts through a normal diet.
Our Noubrain olive fruit extract contains hydroxytyrosol obtained from Spanish olives using a gentle, natural extraction process. It is offered in capsule form and provides a convenient way to supplement the daily intake of this olive-derived antioxidant as part of a balanced lifestyle.
